Frequently Asked Questions

What is the cancellation policy?

If you cancel/reschedule your massage appointment with less than 12 hours notice, the card on file will be charged 50%. If you do not show up, the card on file will be charged in full.

When should I arrive?

Arrive about 10 minutes before your appointment start time to fill out your health intake form, have a quick chat about your massage and ensure the session begins on time.

How do I get to the studio and what is parking like?

The studio is located at 941 Glenwood Station Lane, Suite 302 in Charlottesville, VA.

There is parking in front of the building (with ample handicapped parking as well.) When you enter the building, take the elevator to the third floor. When you exit the elevator, the suite is on your left.

Am I able to add cupping to any massage?

Yes! There is no extra cost, so just be sure to chat with your therapist about it beforehand so you two can discuss possible contraindications and where specifically you would like cupping. Cupping is most beneficial when used in the 90 and 120 minute massages, as it is incorporated into the massage and allows for a more comprehensive experience.

What should I wear for a Thai massage?

Wear comfortable workout gear such as loose/stretchy leggings or knee-length shorts, t-shirt or tank top. (Loose comfy cotton pants are preferred.)

Do I have to be flexible to get a Thai massage?

Thai massage is for everyone, flexible or not! If anything, receiving regular Thai massage can increase your flexibility. When a certain stretch is too much, the therapist adjusts, often using cushions for support. Some clients benefit from many stretches, and others benefit from more compressions.

Is the studio wheelchair accessible?

Yes! There is handicapped parking directly in front of the building. A ramp leads to the door, and there is an elevator that takes you to the 3rd floor. There is a wheelchair accessible bathroom on the ground floor. Please let us know if you require special assistance upon arrival to the building.
