Susan Good

Owner, LMT

Helping others is what sparks joy in Susan. Her life’s work is to help others feel great in their bodies through highly personalized massage therapy.

Susan’s experience as a Birth Doula in Honduras and Ireland led her to train in massage in 2017. After giving birth to her daughter in 2020, she holds a deep connection working with women in the prenatal and postpartum periods.

A passion for holistic wellness led Susan to begin a serious study of traditional Thai massage with Jill Burynski in North Carolina and Homprang Chaleekanha, Doctor of Traditional Thai Medicine, in Thailand. She recently returned to her Thai massage school (Baan Hom Samunphrai) where she studied Womblifting.

Susan is certified in Neuromuscular Cupping Therapy and can incorporate cupping into massage sessions upon request.

Kristen

LMT

Kristen has been practicing massage since 2011. She is a deeply empathetic person and enjoys creating a relaxing and judgement-free space where true healing can take place. She specializes in deep tissue massage that DOESN'T hurt or feel too intense, but gives the results and benefits of any deep tissue massage. She also offers prenatal massage. Kristen offers a uniquely tailored massage depending on the needs of each individual--no two bodies are the same!

Sara

LMT

Sara's passion in massage therapy is being able to connect with her clients and ease both everyday and chronic pain through therapeutic touch. She is a compassionate massage therapist with a calm and positive energy and loves continuing education to expand her skillset. Her favorite sessions are 90 minute massages because she is able to work slowly and intuitively, bringing into the treatment various techniques from her “toolbox”--Neuromuscular therapy, Orthopedic massage, Prenatal, Myofascial Release and Reiki. Sara has over ten years experience as a licensed massage therapist in Pennsylvania and is excited to work with the Charlottesville community!

Melissa

LMT

Melissa has been a massage therapist since 2017. She is passionate about community wellness and long term impacts of preventative care, like massage. Because of her love of the diversity of our bodies as human beings, she is invested in making massage accessible and supportive to each individual she works with. She uses a therapeutic integrated approach to massage, and although her work tends to be deep, she loves customizing each session. When Melissa is not massaging, you can find her hiking or biking in the woods!

Gretchen

LMT

Gretchen’s professional experience in massage therapy began in 2009, and has led her on a journey in discovering multiple wellness approaches which combine to create a holistic approach to chronic pain relief. She is able to resolve spots that contribute to pain with a combination of intuitive connection, and specific, clinical techniques. Her multiple certifications in various styles of clinical massage therapy, nutrition, herbal medicine, and yoga allow her to support her clients in various ways for profound, tailored sessions. She is best known at this point in her professional career as the founder of Neuromuscular Cupping Therapy, where she has been able to bring all of these wellness tools into one comprehensive modality to resolve chronic pain. Sessions with Gretchen are the perfect blend between intuitive flow, and specific treatment which gives just enough of that "good hurt" to know it's going to be effective at resolving your chronic issues.

David

LMT

David began his bodywork journey after experiencing the profound effects it could have on his own injuries from being a rugged mountain kid on the Colorado slopes. His process in working with clients begins by first discovering what state their body is in, and then tailoring his sessions to allow pain patterns to unravel through conscious, collaborative treatments. Often, active participation in a massage session can allow muscles to fire and recalibrate to resolve stubborn issues, and allow for greater release of tension patterns. In addition to his strategic approach to resolution of pain patterns, he also holds space for profound energetic healing which is incredibly helpful for resolution of pain from traumatic injuries and life events. His wide expertise in Neuromuscular Cupping and other clinical styles of massage therapy, combined with his unique approach to several styles of energy work, allow his sessions to meet his clients where they are at, and allow for lasting change.
